cute, but it looks kinda tacky... like i could find it at target or someplace of the like.

It does look tacky, but in a 'Napoleon Dynamyte' kind of way... therefore I think that it works. I really like the way the colors are so bold... and yet somehow that splash of magenta still jumps out at ya.

I like how you jammed the design with plenty of visuals that reflect the text. The word "tiger" has stripes. The word "toe" has a paw print representing the "o". You show a tiger hollering for "if it HOLLERS". And you have tiger tracks leading away to show that someone "Let it go". The only weakness I see is the text after the word "TIGER". It's so plain and hardly noticeable from a distance.

This rhyme is racist.

OCandCO, Hunh? What are you talking about? If you're going to sling around words without backing them up, don't expect others to take you seriously.

OCandCO is actually right. Few people remember the origins of the rhyme, but it started during the time of slavery and abolition. The original rhyme went: Eeny Meeny Miney Moe, Catch a Niggerby the toe, if he hollars lets him go, Eeny Meeny, Miney, Moe. My mother said to pick the very best one and it is... I'm not sure when the words got changed, but "Tiger" replaced "Nigger" and not long after everyone forgot what the rhyme originally meant. Not that I'm against this rhyme for those reasons, no one really means any harm when they say it and very few even remember its original meaning.

Thanks Xaverie.

The origins of this rhyme maybe racist, but that is not my intention with this design. There are many variations of this rhyme... and when I started researching it for this contest, that was the first time I heard the "original" version...

This definitely was not made to shock or offend. It's meant to be fun and playful... and a little "tacky." :)

Thanks for all your comments!

Heh, of course. It's just a playground nursery rhyme now, a rather cute one at that. I think the shirt is adorable by the way, I would most certainly wear it.
