Prichard... "the fatty" is merely a symbolic depiction of Siddhartha. Him being fat represents that he is well-nourished, as in being enlightened.

Accually, he's "Fat" because, when you meditate, because of your breathing, you developed a buldge in your stomach.
Siddhartha being the enlightened one, would be thought to have a HUGE buldge because of his meditation. The idea of him with a big stomach sunk in I guess... |

Buddha means one who discovers Dharma ( the nature of reality of the mind, the affliction of the path to liberation by enlightenment. ) Buddha is a title used for anyone who has discovered enlightenment, although it is commonly used to refer to Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.
