I LOOOOVE IT, but the image would look waaay better if it was placed at the bottom, w/ the line of the table aligned w/ the edge of the shirt...
Also, Orange, meh...if it's orange it gives it a distinctly "Halloween" feel to it based on theme...ANY color but orange PLEASE! |

I love it, but the Burns thing will haunt. I'd try to come up with a couple new techniques in addition to the hatching. great shirt tho.

Ray Frenden on Jan 08 '08 Mike, I am not a Burns ripoff. Burns takes the technique from a multitude of old comics. It's simply one way to create halftones with ink. Someone better tell COOP to stop while we're at it.

I wonder how the illustration would look with more shirt color seeping into the wood in the table, so you don't have to cut it off at the bottom like that. However, I hope Crayola comes out with a Freddy Skin Pink one day. 5

Ray Frenden on Jan 13 '08 Thanks - I spent about 6 hours on it from start to finish. A lot of that time was spent on the pencils. I scrapped it once and started again or the time frame'd be a lot shorter.

i wouldnt consider myself with more experience, but its definitely a decent score and definitely printable. i would have liked to see it score closer to a 3, but anything above a 2.2 is definitely printable!

What score do you need to get printed?

Ray Frenden on Jan 25 '08 Bogoio, it would have to be something in the orange-brown family. All the other colors in the design have a burnt orange mixed in them. They'd look out of place on something else. I can see a brown working, maybe!
