why is this for bioshock?

Because the theme isn't Bioshock, it's 'Descent into Rapture'. Not a lot of people actually realized that. It says right on the theme page that it's not a brand shirt. So my idea for that theme is Fallin for Love.

Why because I did something original instead of just copying the characters from the game(there are some really nice designs that did this. nothing against them)?

ignore the ppl that don't understand the theme. this improved a lot from the critique section. i'm not a fan of hearts, but i like the idea that you used.

You shouldn't need to defend your design. Works well as an independent design. Doesn't work well for the theme.

But it does?! The theme is 'Descent into Rapture' not 'Bioshock'. When I thought about the words 'Descent into Rapture' I thought about love and sex. I was going to put a bunch of naked cloud ladies but I decided to go with the love theme instead. I don't understand how that doesn't go with the theme...

for those who find reading disruptive- Things to note... The purpose of this competition is to create a stand-alone design inspired by the theme, not a brand tee. Your design is not required to have the theme text or brand logo on it... in fact, we prefer it does not. |

Its okay... I just think that the guy kinda looks like he's having a seizure and his joints have locked or something. I get what people are saying about the whole Bioshock thing, and I get what youre saying too, but I'm not sure that this is the idea people had in mind. I dont know. Maybe it would have been better received as a regular submission?

milyn0206 - thanks for the opinion. I wanted the character to look like he was in absolute rapture. I can see your point though. And to do with "what people had in mind", read leaded's post. I guess actually reading the instructions was a bad move on my part. Should've just looked at what every other person was doing and copied that. I know this design is going to get a 1 or something just because it doesn't have a character on it from the video game. At least you can see both points. |
