I just realised it's been 193 days since I submitted a design.

Something must be done about this.
I've been meaning to share this with you all for ages now, and give a massive thanks to threadless for what they sent me after the 'threadless loves gifts' challenge- my design was "the start of something" (it's the blue tree design over on the right) and I did it as a gift for Anna, my new wife. Not only did a box with 20 shirts for our mates who helped with our wedding arrive at our door, but also included was some absolutely fantastic one of a kind bunting that Brianne from threadless customer service made out of the design! It's now in pride of place in our hallway.

So here are just a few images from the buntingtastic big day! The 20 shirts we got went to the folk who made it all possible, and sat with us making all 700m of the bunting the week before....

Thanks again threadless, you're all awesome! I feel like a side-line in bunting could go pretty well...
I'm getting all social. To celebrate Voyages over Edinburgh printing on monday, I'm giving away 2 $25 gift cards to people! So if you are a tumblrer or a facebooker you can get involved!

It's dead simple, just

I'm in a super good mood, particularly because my Kite Parkour design got reprinted, so I want to buy some lovely people some shirts! And not just one of my shirts, but any shirt you want, because lets face it they are all better than mine anyway.

So just pick anything from the sale, and tell me what you would choose on my brand new facebook page, and tomorrow night I'll choose 3 people at random and buy them what they chose!

Yeah I know, I'm making you go to my facebook page, but it's really fun over there, honest!

UPDATE!
Got some photos from Delhi, check it out...

You may notice in that last one that one of the kids is sporting BMX Nirvana. Turns out I accidentally sent my order of shirts to Delhi too, and I just thought international economy post was just being extra slow! It's hard not to laugh when I think about how confused he must have been at having the only different shirt- I can't decide whether he would be proudly unique and the jealousy of all, or horrifically left out.

No big deal I thought, I'll just head over to threadless and order some more of my shirts, but disaster- all the guys sizes are sold out!

My extraspecially nice friends at threadless offered to check around their warehouse when I told them about it all, and thankfully managed to find me some of my design left. Got them this morning, thanks!

Sorry for the mega long blog, and if you read it all, give yourself a thumbs up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is by far my favourite print of mine so far, and it's made extra special by the difference it will make. Thanks so much to everyone who voted for this, and who has bought it too. Here is where the prize is going...

$1500- Anusaran- a small charity in Delhi who do amazing work with young woman and children in a slum area. I spent a year with them and the place inspired this design.

$100- Save the children- a British charity which does great work worldwide, but the money is for their Haiti Appeal specifically.

$100- Girl Effect- A charity that transforms societies in a sustainable way though supporting young women.

$100- Cystic Fibrosis Trust- A friend of mine has CF, so this is for a charity that supports people and funds research into treatments.

$100- Shelter- Another British charity, which helps homeless folk. There are a few folk beg around where I live, and it would be great to see them get on their feet again.

$100-Charity Water- I wanted to give to a water thing because I like water. I only heard about these guys the other day, but they seem perfect.

A bit about the design...
In delhi I stayed for a while in the slum area. In the evening the rooftops were full of kids fighting kites, and in the streets below kids were keeping a keen eye on the scene- ready to chase after any kite that was cut loose.
I took the photo in the background on a quick visit to Shimla in the foothills of the himalayas. The place was seething with monkeys so I invested in a "monkey stick" to keep them at bay. It was a beautiful place though.

(p.s. no photoshopping involved!)

Thanks threadless for printing this, I hope soon I will have some pictures of Anusaran receiving some shirts!
Everyone loves to be fresh.
Come and vote, and you too can be super fresh content.

Minty Fresh - Threadless T-shirts, Nude No More

(I totally missed Jan 1st, but 365 days is 365 days whenever you start, right?)

For the next 365 days I'm going to film 10 seconds of my day. I'm thinking I'll post them all on a tumblr blog because they are beautiful and simple, but maybe flickr. It won't win any international acclaim or expand my creativity drastically (like MSCE did/would), but I want to look at things differently and be able to look back at this year and see all the tiny day to day things I know I'll forget. I'm just going to use the Flip camera I got for the innovation contest, or my mobile, so I'm not talking loads of effort or time.

Does anyone want to join me?
The rules are-
10 seconds/day
No editing
No sound

At the end of it you can make a movie of clips of the whole year- it would be just over an hour long.
UPDATE!

So I said in my design if it ever gets printed here I'll give away 3/4 of the prize. Now I've decided the other 1/4 is up to YOU!

Name and explain who you think should get some, and I'll pick 5, so if it gets printed as 2k10 each gets $500, and if it gets a normal print each gets $100. I'll only send the money to registered charities, you chancers.

All clear? I hope I explained that alright.

--------Suggestions so far---------
Haiti
Make a wish
Cystic Fibrosis
Water Aid
Tear Fund
Girl Effect
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright everyone, here is my new design...

Basically as well as a new graphic trend, I see threadless and it's users stepping out into the wider world and using their creativity to make a difference- Heck it's already happening with the amazing response to the Haiti tee!
And so - I'm promising at least 3/4 of the money to anusaran, a charity in west Delhi that make a massive difference on a shoe string budget.

The last thing I want to do is seem all high and mighty, or like I'm trying to grab a pity vote, even if this scores like crap I'm giving a bunch of money to them cause they need it way more than I need a new ipad or something.

No guilt tripping here- i just think we can use our creativity in amazing and far reaching ways!

Pictures of the stuff in delhi will follow in the blog....
This blog is a nice big thanks for the cashmonies threadless sent me for my designs. With some of it I went to egypt, was sick in a minibus and broke my new camcorder while trying to breakdance.
