There comes a time in every sloganeer's career where he or she must come to terms with the fact that they'll never get printed and that there best slogans are long behind them. I think if the one post per day rule had be implemented a few years ago I may have had a better shot, but I can't say I'm really too shocked. I've know there are quite a few great sloganeers, much better than myself, that never got printed. Just as Stockton, Malone, Ewing, and Barkley never got rings. I just wish it weren't such a popularity contest. I can't be the only reclusive slogan writer out there without a friend or family member to aid in beefing up scores
Okay, maybe I'm just a bitter old standby who has grown tired of the medium in some fashion, but it seems to be that all of the newer designs are either cutesy in some fashion or look like souped up clip art. I miss the old days when edgy, hand-drawn, grotesque things were being put onto t-shirts for others to behold and become awestruck with fear. I used to try and vote down somewhat safe designs, with the hope of encouraging more experimental designs, but now I find myself voting down everything with the ever waning hope of finding that one design with the artistic integrity representative of the Threadless of old. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but the rate in which really old things are reprinted on this site seems to somewhat support my findings.
I've been submitting slogans for four years now, but I have to say that it is beginning to feel like a complete waste of time...Does anyone vote anymore? Does Threadless even print many new typetees anymore? Why do people constantly spam awful as slogans by the second making it harder for people to find my genius posts (slight sarcasm)? Really I just want more votes, whether or not they are good or bad, that is what would make me truly happy...And I can't be alone in thinking that some sort of new system needs to be instituted that keeps the spam from diverting attention away from my genius.
What the hell is going on, they removed slogan scoring from the first page under participate, and it is now impossible to score slogans without first submitting one... I don't understand the rationale behind this bs, it really seems like the worst possible thing they could have done. Now the only people scoring them are fellow slogan submitters, and no offense to the rest of you, but I don't want some of you stupid asses scoring my slogans ; ) I mean the majority of what gets submitted is pretty idiotic, and therefore I don't think its fair that those same people submitting bull feces are virtually the lone deciders of how well my submissions do. I really can't even begin to comprehend how frustrated I would be if I actually took the time to submit an actual design and my only audience were a few select people. That would drive me nuts, I would be forced to cater specifically to their likes, and that seems wholly unfair. Granted that slogan submitting only takes a few seconds, and maybe a few minutes of thought, but I still do not approve of the way things are being handled.

Edit:Needless Thread, is Needless
Is it just me or does every slogan seem to hit a scoring limit of around 40, if of course you don't have many friends hitting I'd buy or if you aren't an already selected sloganite. To say it is pissing me off would be an overstatement, but at this point it is beginning to become less funny with each and every submission I make, and merely becoming popular enough to garner scores seems more of an enigma after each and every failed effort. : ?
Browsing through other slogans, I feel there is a lot of redundant filler out there, or things that are nearly nonsensical...I almost feel like I'm going insane, as anything I submit does horrible no matter if I try to tailor it to match what I've seen being consistently posted or if I try to be completely original. I almost feel like people click the no button before even fully reading the text, or just so their slogan has a better chance of being selected. One other problem is that the average person doesn't even take the time out to score them, and because they are so easy to submit their are tons of them being released by the second.
