I realize it needs some color, I'm just looking for some critiques on the drawing at the moment, or any color scheme suggestions.

It's really neat. At first I didn't get it until I read the title, but I'm sure it will be far more understandable once it's finished and I'm well slept.



As far as color schemes go, I'm clueless. Black or dark grey for death and mostly brown with a couple of bright colors for the IRS?

Hmm... good point Chelly. I had thought about that, but it made it quickly evident in the US that he was a tax man.



I wonder how I could do that on an international level.



Maybe he could have one of those adding machines instead of a briefcase?

Because this is Death and a guy from the IRS, I think really dull, grim colors would work best, but then again I'm being pretty obvious in my color choices.

This is a GREAT idea, love it! I agree, blacks, whites and grays and maybe the shirt background would be best. I think "IRS" works extremely well for many people...not sure how to make it international. Not sure if it even needs to be. I think maybe one way to make it international would be to make more figures symbolic of other countries and their systems (more tax people than death!) however I think your simple 2 figure concept is still a much better approach, even though it only says IRS.

Some colors!

this is looking great! i actually like it on all 4 colors...although i guess black or gray would be my first choice because it accentuates the theme the most.

my only other thought would be to give more contrast in the shading and around IRS to make it more readable...

Aye, it's very good Jen, but needs just a little cleaning up. ^^ Also, I like the first color you displayed best (The brownish one).

add some depth w. shadows to his robe and the irs guy, and make the letters "IRS" pop more on the shirt. also, maybe put them in an environment? knocking on your door maybe or in a doorway?

I love the concept, but I agree with HeroStatus. It's hard to make out some of the line work.
