had to read the title to understand that the waves was a storm. looks more like a curly oceanwave, despite the dropplets falling out of the storm. maybe make the curls more like a cloud, then the storm would be more understandible?
I thought It was ocean wave too. But does it really matter?
I really like the transparency on the dress and the "waves". But I would change the color of the wave for a pale blue or green...or a "colored" grey. And I would try adding a hot color (is it the same in english hot/cool colors?) like an orange to make the shades in the hairs.
Maybe you could also try different kind of blue/gray or greens shirts right now, since a large part of your illustration is in transparency it will matters more than usual.
I really like your use of transparency to give a 'flowy' feel to the whole design. Only one complaint though, I think the face could be more feminized? (is that the right word to use?) With probably sharper features and more girly looking. Also, the neck region, looks too bulky like a body builder :) Hope I didn't offend you.
Nicely done, although I must agree with the others that I thought it was an ocean wave at first. But I also agree with Ourson Grognon that it doesn't really matter... aesthetically, it works just as well as a cloud would.
My only suggestion would be to try a belt print, or at least to make the design bigger on the shirt. I'm a fan of belt prints in general, but I think this is one design that could benefit from it because it would add another dimension of "flowyness"
The woman's face is more feminine. The tee color has been changed to give more of a "storm" feel. I like blue enough that I put a bit around the clouds/wind. Sort of setting them off a bit.
I love the pic very much! But, maybe you can try to change the color of the tee to navy or dark blue, and no efects of glowing around the waves. It seems like the glowing effect doesn't match with the color of the tee now....keep it up and i am waiting for your good work!
It's a wonderful, lyrical design. My only possible quibble is that with such Nouveau-like lines and shapes and curves, it would be nice to extend that somehow into the raindrops, just so the design-ethic of the piece kind of follows through.
this is great! love the rain and lightning going down at an angle on the shirt, it is very visually pleasing and has a good flow to it....the detail is awesome in the face, my only concern is...is there more than 8 different colors/shades in here?
I think the rain is key. It makes the bottom part of the shirt activated in an interesting way, almost like the wind is blowing it. Nice drawing. submit it.
it's screen printed, and you can have half tones for shades so there aren't to many colors (i hope). but anyways this design is really awesome great job it's really cool! please score my slogans by the way, they need some help
lol this is some Tinkerbell disney esque stuff right here.
The 1st design is actually quite magical to me...I kind of want a black outline or something around it...idk. its cool tho, wish it wasnt so disney but maybe thats jus my sinister demeanor talking.
