It's cute, but I'm not sure if it'd work. It's an interesting art style, but it only works occasionally. I dunno...

The big blob behind everyone makes it look awkward... it's not being ironed on, so you don't need a big background shape like that.

so the big blob (that which allows the lines to be orange) is the problem?



would you rather it be just the drawing on the shirt sans colours? just have it be black lines?



not sure about a solution. as it is the blob is necessary.

it made me giggle, but Im not a fan of the blob behind it either. I think it wouldl look good if you put it on a creme shirt.

it looks much better without the blob, but i prefer the punchy, poppy colors of v1. also, while i'm a big fan of the hand-drawn look in general, i think your sketch could benefit from a little discipline (and some legit hand lettering instead of actual handwriting.) that's my reaction on a purely visual level.



that being said, i have no idea what this shirt is about. i mean, i get that it's some sort of elvis costello joke but i really don't know enough about elvis costello to decipher the meaning. i might not be the only one, which could account for all the crickets chirping all up in here.

it's an elvis (the king of rock and roll) joke really.



the history of this design is a sordid one, i'd rather not delve into it as it is the reason for the lack of discipline. (ahem, quick and dirty)
